We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or other assistive technology. This statement describes what is built into the site and our goals. It is not a formal conformance claim.
What is built in
- A “Skip to content” link and a logical heading structure
- Keyboard-operable navigation, including the mobile menu and dropdowns, with a visible focus indicator
- Form fields with visible labels, clear error messages and no reliance on colour alone
- Touch targets of at least 44 pixels on controls
- Respect for the “reduce motion” setting
- Text sized in relative units so it scales with browser settings
Our goal
We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we test changes for keyboard and screen reader use.
Known limitations
Content added by editors, such as images in articles, depends on the editor providing text alternatives. If you find something on this site that you cannot use, please tell us.
